SPANISH THREATS SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH GIBRALTAR'S FINANCIAL SERVICE INDUSTRY

Lest you believe that the recent actions taken by the Government of Spain; slowing down frontier transit, proposed fifty Euro crossing fees, and threatening to close Spanish airspace to flights to and from Gibraltar, have any untoward consequences, fear not. I am not seeing any impact whatsoever on the financial structure, and the British Government has taken a firm diplomatic stand in support of its territory.

The financial services industry in Gibraltar is not affected by this week's saber rattlings by Spain, and there is no call at this time to consider any changes to Country Risk for Gibraltar.
